PLAY Comme des Garçons x K-WAY
by Adriano B.
On January 12th, 2022, PLAY Comme des Garçons unveils its second collaboration with French outerwear brand K-Way.
Expanding on the existing range of styles, the collaboration introduces kids sizing of K-Way’s most recognizable silhouettes, the Leon Half Zip and Claude Full Zip, while providing a fresh update to the adult selection. Both half-zip and full-zip styles in each size range are of regular fit, mid-length, and made of durable nylon Ripstop. The jackets feature a ventilation flap at the yoke for guaranteed breathability, zippered pockets at the waist, and can be made packable by folding into their respective pockets. The adult selection features bold color blocking and a trio of PLAY’s heart and eyes emblem.
Inspired by his personal and authentic work, creative directors Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Karl Bolander asked photographer and filmmaker Julian Klincewicz to shoot the collection. Known for his preference of using film stills, the artist worked with a mix of friends and street casted models to produce a collection of memories and capture a feeling of love.

The collection launches exclusively at all Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market stores globally as well as DSM E-SHOPs, followed shortly after by Comme des Garçons’s wholesale clients.
