Pièces Uniques has revealed its new Fall/Winter 2024 collection, called “J’aime pas l’école” (I don’t like school). The collection draws inspiration from various school uniforms and memories from different countries and eras.

The designer behind Pièces Uniques, Edmond Luu, said he wanted to revisit his own school days and explore how they shaped his identity and style. He visited his former kindergarten and secondary school, and also looked at old photos of his mother’s childhood in Vietnam. He was fascinated by the contrast and similarities between the different school outfits and cultures.

The collection features 20 looks that mix elements of classic school uniforms, such as pleated skirts, blazers, ties, and sweaters, with modern and playful twists, such as bright colors, patches, prints, and accessories. The lookbook was shot by Edmond Luu himself and styled by Jennifer Abbeyratne.
