Lourdes has recently launched its Fall/Winter 2024 collection, called “United States of Whatever”. The collection explores the themes of identity, tradition and American ethos, and how they have changed over time.

The Creative Director of Lourdes, Andreas Aserti, said that he was inspired by the idea of the American dream, and how it has lost its meaning and appeal in the modern world. He said that the American dream used to be a collective vision of prosperity and freedom, but now it has become a selfish and individualistic pursuit.

Aserti also said that he wanted to capture the mixed feelings of being an American in the current era. He said that he felt a sense of belonging and pride in his country, but also a sense of disillusionment and realism about its flaws and problems.

The collection reflects these sentiments through its bold and eclectic pieces, which mix and match different elements of American culture and history. The collection features real deer pelts, black leather sets, patriotic camouflage, backless varsity jackets and oversized shirts with “loser” printed larger across. The collection aims to redefine what it means to be American, and to challenge the stereotypes and expectations associated with it.
