Lisbon Fashion Week Unveils Its Schedule!
by Adriano Batista
Lisbon Fashion Week, in co-organization with Lisbon’s City Council, is back with its 62nd edition, titled MODALISBOA FOR GOOD, from March 8th to March 11th, 2024. The event, which will take place at Pátio da Galé, will showcase the latest collections from established and emerging Portuguese Designers, as well as international guests, in a four-day program that combines fashion, art, culture, and social responsibility.
The Fashion presentation calendar will feature the exploratory projects of the Workstation platform, the innovative approach of the LAB platform, and the new proposals from the Designers platform. The event will also host the Support Ukrainian Designers Initiative, a partnership between ModaLisboa and Ukrainian Fashion Week, which aims to promote Ukrainian creatives who continue to work under the threat of the Russian invasion.

The event will also feature the return of IED – Istituto Europeo di Design, which will present the collections of the final year students of the Fashion Design course at Lisboa Social Mitra, as well as a dance performance and a selection of IED fashion films. The IED students will reflect the future of the global Fashion Industry, transforming the complexities of the present into pieces that express their vision and identity.
The opening of the MODALISBOA FOR GOOD catwalk will be marked by the second and final phase of the young Designers competition, SANGUE NOVO. The six finalists, who have received mentoring sessions and textile partnerships, will return to Pátio da Galé with their new collections, which will be evaluated by a jury. The winners will receive scholarships, internships, residencies, and press and showroom services, as well as the opportunity to present their work at the next editions of ModaLisboa.

The six Designers who will compete for the awards are:
