KENZO has teamed up with ASICS to create a new sneaker collection that blends style and performance. The collaboration, designed by KENZO’s Artistic Director Nigo, features three gender-neutral models that draw inspiration from both brands’ histories and identities.

The sneakers are based on the ASICS GEL-KAYANO 20, a running shoe that was first released in 2013 and is known for its cushioning and stability. The shoe has a two-layer midsole and outsole that incorporates EVA, TPU, GEL technology and rubber, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride for the wearer. The upper part of the shoe is made of breathable mesh and synthetic materials, and has a distinctive cage-like structure that supports the foot.

The KENZO x ASICS collection adds a touch of flair and creativity to the GEL-KAYANO 20, using vibrant colors and patterns that reflect KENZO’s signature aesthetic. Two of the models have a faux-fur coating on the upper, with a tiger motif that pays homage to KENZO’s iconic logo. One of them has a blue, lime green and orange color scheme, while the other has a more classic silver, gold and white palette. The third model has a more colorful and playful look, with blue, green, pink, yellow and orange hues contrasted by white. All three models have the ASICS logo on the right tongue and the KENZO logo on the left tongue, as well as a co-branded special packaging.

The sneakers will be available in KENZO stores and selected retailers from January 26th 2024, for €290.
