The collaboration between JW Anderson and film director Luca Guadagnino does not produce a garment or a bag. Instead, it creates an object for a desk: a set of bronze peach paperweights.

The idea came from Jonathan Anderson and Luca Guadagnino. The inspiration is a single, memorable scene from Guadagnino’s film, Call Me By Your Name. The object itself is straightforward in its origin. Each paperweight begins with a whole, real peach. A mold is made from the fruit. Molten bronze is poured into that mold.

The process after the casting is done by hand. Any texture lost from the peach’s skin is carefully carved back in with a chisel. The surface is then sanded and buffed until it shines. The result is a solid, heavy bronze version of a soft, perishable fruit.

These paperweights will not be sold widely. They are available only at the JW Anderson shop on Pimlico Road in London.
