The Italian stock exchange in Milan was filled for a few hours with joy and fantasy thanks to the Italian designer Giuliano Calza – founder and creative director of GCDS – and his respective show, held during the Milan Fashion Week.

“Flowers of the Concrete” is the title of the Spring/Summer 2025 proposal, which deals with the items that make up the modern wardrobe. As far as men are concerned, these are special, colourful garments with a certain extravagant/sexy touch, unlike last season, when the quiet luxury trend was very present.

GCDS returns to its origins, with no place for the concepts of demure or mindful, but it does have a place for the concept of “BRAT”, used in depth in the design of the set, notable for the vibrant green grass catwalk that the models walked along to the beat of the song “Everything is romantic” by Charli XCX. The looks worn by many of them left little to the imagination and suggested that one should go to the gym if one wanted to wear it, as the see-through or V-shaped tops were designed for one body type only. The doses of sensuality that these pieces offered were reduced when paired with flowing tailored trousers or when more urban looks in leather or satin effect came out, accompanied by oversized furry bags and slippers or trainers.
