G-STAR’s New Era: Botter & Herrebrugh Take the Helm

G-STAR is stepping into a fresh creative chapter with the appointment of Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh as Creative Directors. The duo, known for their innovative work under their label BOTTER, will lead the brand’s premium collections, including the experimental RAW RESEARCH line.

For over 30 years, G-STAR has been a leader in raw denim, collaborating with big names like Pharrell Williams and Walter Van Beirendonck. Now, Botter and Herrebrugh bring their own vision, one that respects the brand’s roots while pushing it forward.
RAW RESEARCH, G-STAR’s creative lab for denim innovation, will be their first focus. Expect new shapes, materials, and techniques when they debut their collection at Paris Fashion Week in January 2026. A preview arrives this June.
For Botter, joining G-STAR feels personal: “I remember the brand’s influence in the ‘90s—the designs, the looks. It’s exciting to be part of its future.” Herrebrugh adds, “We share the same values: innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship. We can’t wait to explore new possibilities.”
