Dover Street Market Paris x Westfall x Sorry Thanks I Love You

This month, Dover Street Market Paris will make its Australian debut with a four-week installation at Sorry Thanks I Love You. Brett Westfall, a long-time Comme des Garçons collaborator and member of the Dover Street Market Paris umbrella, devised the large-scale installation.

“I am very happy to have my first installation in Sydney, Australia, together with Sorry Thanks I Love You and Dover Street Market Paris brand development. This is a collaboration that we have been planning together for quite some time and are excited to open and share this experience with the great people of Australia. Being able to make the artwork with my daughter Moon Westfall is a beautiful dream. I hope the visitors will enjoy the sense of travel, nostalgia and the excitement of adventure while being immersed in the shelter“, said Californian multi-disciplinary artist Brett Westfall whose brand WESTFALL is an extension of his ideas into clothing.

The artwork, constructed using canvas paintings and wooden pallets as walls and interconnecting bicycles as a roof, reflects the artist’s diverse approach. Each hand-painted piece features Westfall’s characteristic motifs: the word “FRESH,” a strawberry image, and his daughter’s depiction of “Snoppy,” which adds a personal touch to the mix of odd-found things included in the sculpture. STILY’s adjacent cafe will feature a Westfall-inspired menu featuring custom-made desserts from Tokyo Lamington and Gelato Messina in limited edition flavors.

The installation, located at Westfield Sydney, coincides with Brett Westfall’s first art display in Australia, following previous exhibitions at Felix Art Fair in Los Angeles and K. Art Studio in Nagoya. To complement Westfall’s FW24 collection and commemorate the project, STILY and Westfall collaborated on a bespoke t-shirt, which will be sold exclusively in-store at STILY. The collaboration is one extension of the ongoing partnership Sorry Thanks I Love You has with Dover Street Market Paris Brand Development. In addition to Westfall, STILY also offers DSMP BD labels Sky High Farm, Honey Fucking Dijon, and the recently introduced New York-based, Vaquera at their Westfield Sydney store.
