Copenhagen’s Newest Attraction: The Debut of Mandatory CPH Fashion Trade Platform

In Copenhagen, a new chapter for the fashion trade is about to unfold with the launch of Mandatory CPH. This innovative platform is set to host its inaugural event from June 26 to 28, 2024, offering a fresh and elevated trade experience that showcases a mix of womenswear and menswear from top Scandinavian and international brands.

The brainchild of Mads M. Petersen, with over 25 years in the fashion industry, and his partner Clara Leone, Mandatory CPH is a response to the industry’s call for a united front of like-minded brands at the start of the buying season. Their combined experience and networks are the driving force behind this unique ‘by appointment only’ showroom experience, which promises a professional yet familiar atmosphere for buyers and brands alike.
Located in Øksnehallen, at the core of Copenhagen’s meatpacking district, Mandatory CPH is poised to leverage the city’s dynamic energy. The initiative has already garnered support from industry leaders like Kyrre Alver of Blender Group, who finds the ‘by appointment only’ approach particularly appealing for its exclusivity and alignment with their brand mix.
The showroom will not only feature prominent local brands such as mfpen, Henrik Vibskov, and Hope but will also include international names like Missoni, Sunspel, Aspesi, and Frizmworks.
Mandatory CPH’s bi-annual schedule aligns with the international fashion calendar, complementing Copenhagen Fashion Week by providing a trade platform earlier in the season. This strategic timing is designed to support brands in maximizing their trade potential.
