Celebrating 40 Years: Tom of Finland Art & Culture Festival Returns to LA
by Adriano Batista

The Tom of Finland Art & Culture Festival returns to Los Angeles, celebrating its 40th anniversary with a focus on “Art Speaks Through Us.” Partnering with Diesel, the festival coincides with CLAW’s Leather Thanksgiving celebration, offering a unique mix of art, community, and history.

The heart of the festival is the world’s largest erotic art fair. Over 30 artists, galleries, and vendors will showcase their work, from paintings and design objects to books and specialty items. This three-day event offers a chance to socialize, buy art, and experience the diverse LGBTQ+ creative scene.

Beyond the marketplace, the festival boasts a rich program packed with talks, demonstrations, and performances. Attendees can participate in life drawing sessions, witness a rope bondage demo, or enjoy a sneak peek at the documentary “House of Leather.” The program also features discussions on topics like censorship and the legacy of Tom of Finland, fostering a space for artistic expression and historical reflection.
