Casablanca Collaborates with S.T. Dupont Celebrating the Elegance of Sport
by Anna Barr
S.T. Dupont unveiled their latest collaboration with Casablanca, inspired by the world of tennis and the invention of modern sports. Charaf Tajer, of Casablanca, is noted for reinterpreting the conventional standards of aprés-sport clothing. Drawing inspiration from classic sports codes and tennis aesthetics, the palette is bright with colors and hand-painted drawings. Charaf Tajer, a cigar enthusiast, antique lighter collector, and S.T. Dupont devotee, now ignites the S.T. Dupont flame of optimism that pervades his home, always looking at the beauty of the world.
The colors are vibrant, the lines are modern, and the patterns are dynamic. In a continuation of the Casablanca Fall/Winter 2024 collection, S.T. Dupont’s signature lighters, pens, and accessories reinterpret Hellenic architectural features and athletic depictions. Columns and capitals, wave or meander friezes, and the neo-antique figure of the tennis player merge with Casablanca’s main elements.
Themes of “Tennis,” “Mosaic,” and “Leather Goods” compose this collaboration and continue to push the boundaries, whether sporting or artisanal, as both brands strive to excel in their respective crafts. S.T. Dupont and Casablanca, The Art of Sport, perfectly illustrates the balance between tradition and modernity that has driven S.T. Dupont since 1872.
