BRUTAL: Pigmentarium’s New Scent
by Adriano Batista

The new fragrance from Pigmentarium, called BRUTAL, will be released on March 20. The perfume, crafted by French perfumer Théo Belmas, is inspired by the style and ideas of the 1970s and 1980s, a period when perfumers, artists, and designers were exploring new ways to express themselves. The scent also takes cues from the Brutalism movement, which focused on raw materials, simple shapes, and the contrast between rough exteriors and warm, textured interiors. BRUTAL reflects this through its combination of tuberose and tobacco, creating a fragrance that feels both strong and emotional.

The fragrance itself is like stepping into the past. It starts with a dark, rich mix of Negroni, black coffee, and orange blossom, evoking the atmosphere of a room lit by warm, golden lights. At its core, tuberose is the main focus, supported by ylang-ylang and May rose, giving it a floral yet intense heart. The base notes of tobacco, amber, and sandalwood add warmth and depth, leaving a lasting impression that feels both raw and smooth.
BRUTAL will first be available in a 50 ML bottle, priced at 3,490 CZK (around 140 EUR). A smaller 10 ML version will come out later, making it easier to take this unique scent with you wherever you go.
