Loewe Pre-SS26 Campaign
by Adriano Batista
LOEWE’s Pre-Spring/Summer 2026 campaign, photographed by Carlijn Jacobs, is built on a clear visual energy. The images use vibrant color and festive metallics. The focus remains on the product itself, with light and simple backgrounds highlighting the texture and detail of each piece.
A central inspiration for the collection is the work of British artist Louis Wain. Known for his drawings of cats, Wain’s later work shifted toward abstraction, influenced by Cubism and Futurism. His “Futurist Cats” series, which featured geometric, colorful felines on porcelain vases, directly informs a capsule within the collection.
This inspiration appears across bags and accessories. Iconic styles like the Puzzle and Flamenco are decorated with cats through intarsia, embroidery, and prints. The Futurist Cat clutch bag reinterprets Wain’s vase designs in an architectural form. A new streamlined pouch, the Joya, offers a playful shape with a customizable element.
In ready-to-wear, leather remains important. A short lambskin jacket and a voluminous biker jacket update classic silhouettes. Knitwear showcases intricate patterns and hand-finished details, reinforcing the brand’s focus on craft.
Footwear, including the Bobine boot and Petal Anagram sandals, continues the theme with sculptural shapes. The collection extends to men’s offerings as well, with bags like the Puzzle and new Loop styles sharing the same spirit.
