BOYPLAIN Spring/Summer 2017 Lookbook
by Adriano B.
Teeming with playful twists and fun-loving sense of new masculinity, BOYPLAIN Spring/Summer 2017 sets headed in search of the summer night spirit with a cluster of blinding stars amidst a clear sky night being a core idea and inspiration. The collection excitingly explores the celestial components with the likes of glistening stars and meteorites, letting us indulge and get our souls arrested with a manifestation of colorfulness and utter vibrancy.
With eclectic interpretations, this season sees modern meshings of colorful bold graphic embellishments, well-sourced technical fabrics and shrewd cuttings that could recreate a number of an individual’s favored summery staples like no other. Among the highlights are flashing glitter sequin tees adorned with appliqués, experimentally asymmetrical shirts, fitted bomber jackets and sleek wide-leg trousers, reassuring all style scenarios of the BOYPLAIN underpinning.
Proportionately combining fine-tuned minimalism with elevated statement status are items like casual loose velvet-felt robes, an oversized striped canvas coat, a long sleeve faux fur overcoat, patchworked trousers––markedly pronounced in highly wearable accents. Subtly tongue-in-cheek details offer reductionist aesthetic results seen in unconventional textiles, technical tailoring, and patchwork. Think oversized sheer mesh jackets with stuffed embroidery patches, sweatshirts with eyelet and cross-shaped lace-up detailing, altogether complementing a contemporary vision of audacious creativity.
