The Bernhard Willhelm SS20 collection is based on the idea of Ready-mades. A theme introduced to the art world by Marcel Duchamp with his iconic art piece bottle dryer (also referred to as the bottle rack and hedgehog). In the same way, this collection refers to the remake as an original; fashion as a bottle-dryer. The relationship between the subject and the object is purely metaphysical. The act of prêt-a-porter is in this case not used to measure, but rather standardize size and style. The consumer can not only buy but also select the products.
