The BED j.w. FORD Fall/Winter 2025 collection, “Alternative Elegance,” is presented through a concept film. The film follows a man’s journey through early morning Tokyo, interweaving his inner thoughts with the surrounding environment.
Two distinct styling approaches emerge: one grounded in everyday reality, the other a more refined, monochromatic ensemble. Both expressions capture the essence of “alternative elegance” – a concept that explores the intersection of daily life and reverie.
The collection reflects the designer’s contemplation on the relationship between reality and fantasy. Familiar garments are reimagined with subtle shifts – jacket sleeves secured with bell-attached straps, natural wrinkles and drapes embracing the passage of time.
Leather and suede are reinterpreted with the comfort of sweatpants, while elements of outdoor wear are incorporated, bringing a sense of strength and practicality to the designs.
The collection embodies a quiet optimism, a search for something simple and meaningful in an increasingly complex world.
