Balenciaga launches a ski-themed video game to promote its new collection

Balenciaga is taking its winter sport products to the next level with a video game that showcases its first Skiwear Collection. The game can be played on any device and is exclusive to WeChat in China and online worldwide.

The game allows players to choose from two avatars, each wearing animated versions of the Balenciaga Skiwear Collection, which includes technically advanced ready-to-wear, protective accessories, snow equipment, and athletic gear. The avatars then ski down an infinite slope with three different environments and weather conditions, such as snow, rain, and fog. The game becomes more challenging as the speed increases, and the players have to navigate through downhill gates. The objective is to stay on the slope as long as possible and earn points.

The game also offers rewards and incentives for the players, such as exclusive wallpapers and stickers that can be downloaded after the gameplay stops. Moreover, the players can check their ranking on the worldwide scoreboard and see how they compare with other skiers. Additionally, a contest will be held from December 11th to January 31st, 2024, to determine the best players in each designated zone. The winners will receive a physical Balenciaga Ski Lock from the collection as a prize.
