AWAKE NY reimagines the 2000s design language of the GEL-PRELEUSTM sneaker by ASICS with inspiration from the places they’ve been and the places they’ve yet to travel. Reflecting on various influences from New York, Paris, Tokyo, and the details found within each of them, this rendition diversifies the heritage running shoe’s narrative to connect the dots that bring us together.
This sneaker’s energized color palette combines inspiration from the leopard pattern with downtown sensibility that shines through on the upper’s print mesh underlays. Lastly, the shoe’s wavy midsole construction is rendered with off-white hues that add a nostalgic aesthetic to the retro runner.
