AMBUSH Spring/Summer 2024
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
AMBUSH shies away from everything related to fashion weeks and mass events. We don’t know why, but with the exception of the show it held a couple of years ago in Milan, it always prefers to present its proposals in lookbook format, as it has done with the latest one.
Spring/Summer 2024 collection comes to offer a new point of view of what is understood as college style but directed more towards punk/rock than the kind of music of the late 90s or early 2000s. Yoon Ahn, founder and creative director of the brand, wanted to provide a series of garments that between them would help to achieve the perfect uniform, although, of course, everyone imagines it differently. This concept, which has been inspiring Yoon for several seasons, has been related to the longing for belonging and the digital era, sometimes a little rebellious. Ahn is very clear about how she wants her brand to be seen from the outside and how the universe that surrounds it has to be.
The pieces that make up the line are characterised by being made with lighter fabrics and by being brighter than the others, as well as by the sporty look they have. They range from blazers with belts across the chest area combined with waistcoats and shorts hemmed in a different shade, to v-neck jumpers worn with plaid skirts and lace-up shoes.
Ms. Ambush has described her latest work as charming. Do you agree with her? Check out the Spring/Summer 2024 collection below:
