Davit Giorgadze’s new book, “ALL THE FEELINGS AND NONE AT THE SAME TIME,” holds a decade of his life. The release from They Said Books functions as a personal diary, bringing together photographs, paintings, collages, and writings. It is a project about closeness and the ways people connect. It also deals with being alone and being with others. The passage of time and the act of paying attention.

Giorgadze moved from Tbilisi (Georgia) to Berlin at 19 to study art. He soon realized that learning within an institution did not suit him. He followed a path into fashion photography and now lives between Berlin and New York.

The book will have a launch and signing in Paris. But first, it will begin in Tbilisi. This choice is a direct response to the alarming situation in Georgia. With a pro-Russian government pushing homophobia and working to silence opposing voices, Giorgadze’s decision to start there is deeply personal and political. It is a quiet but firm act of visibility.

He hopes to bring attention to the struggles of young Georgians today, many of whom live with little hope and a feeling they are not represented. “When I was growing up in Tbilisi,” Davit shares, “there were no examples for me, no one to identify with. The future seemed uncertain and dark.” This book is what he wishes he had seen then. Now, he wants to be that for someone else.

Through his work, he hopes to spark a feeling of hope and belonging. It is for a generation in Georgia and beyond looking for a way forward, who deserve to see their own experience reflected in the world.
