Texan bred rapper Yung Pooda just dropped the official music video for “Chicken ‘N Grits” with a starring role and feature from Dreamdoll.
Director The Mokablu (YFN Lucci, Lil Durk, Lud Foe) finds Yung Pooda at the illest dine-in restaurant in the South—serving the best ‘Chicken ‘N Grits’ you could only imagine. The video is very much eye candy for all of us who haven’t been able to take away any food for a while. We’ve definitely been having chicken in fuelled dreams.
Pooda recently had this to say referencing the inspiration behind the hit record and video: “Chicken and grits is me. I’m coming from the South—the dirty South—and I want people to know how we do it and bring that element of culture back to the way we do music and visuals.”
Since his music made its way toIt’s A 10 Records, who immediately signed him in 2019, he properly introduced his signature sound on the 2020 EP, Vivid Pictures. Produced by GRAMMY Award-winning duo Cool & Dre (JAY-Z, Beyoncé, Nas). Pooda is set to debut more new music from the project in the coming months.
