Soulland x Rezet Store
by Adriano Batista

Copenhagen based fashion brand Soulland have teamed up with the Danish sneaker store Rezet Store, and unveils their first “sneaker-collabo”.The reason for this joint venture between Rezet and Soulland started with a common interest and passion for the culture of fashion and sneakers, and marks the 5th birthday of Rezet Store.

Soulland has established itself over the last 10 years, as an innovative Danish fashion brand with a strong international appeal. Soulland is always in search of finding a new spin on the classic styles in menswear. Similarly Rezet arose out of an irresistible interest in old retro runners, and a geeky quest for the latest innovations and technologies in sneakers. This cross field became the starting point for Soulland and Rezet to find a common nostalgic passion. This has resulted in the two limited low-top silhouettes IBZ and CPH. The keywords for the two sneakers revolve on subtle detailing, play with materials and color, and the result is two classic mens sneakers. There is a total of 180 pairs, and each pair is unique numbered.

“Our common goal was to design a shoe that was super simple and refined at the same time. Working to meet these criteria, we brought the classic elements of mens fashion into sneaker design through subtle details. The central element in the two shoes are the specially developed fabrics that are common to both styles – as the primary material on one of the design, and as a detail on the tongue, on the other” says Silas Adler, founder and creative director of Soulland.
The story behind the names of the two sneakers was found in the roots and history of Rezet Store. The names are a tribute to the first Rezet Store located on the Spanish island of Ibiza and the original copenhagen shop located at Rådhusstræde in the Danish capital. Please welcome Ibiza and Copenhagen.
