As another Mens Fashion Week bit the Dust, we rounded up some of our favourite Models1 boys of the Season. Our photographer Eva K Salvi had the dubious honour of capturing them in their best light while the boys squeezed in some vital Q&A for us before they got on a plane to work their magic in Milan.

“Sup Fucking Young! my name is James Kakonge, I’m 20 years old and I was raised in Sweden but moved to London 8 years ago. I’m new to the fashion world only been modelling for 5 months so everything is fresh to me.” – @jameskakonge

FY: What have you been up to this fashion week? Who (what other models) is your fashion week gang?

J: This fashion week was my first, so all the castings and waiting was new to me. I went to each casting alone but I bumped into the gang along the way. In other words I was completely unprepared.
FY: Your top tips to survive fashion week?
J: My top tips for surviving fashion week are to bring a portable charger I learnt the hard way, snacks because why not also stay hydrated because it’s good for you more importantly to get to know other models whilst waiting…antisocial behaviour isn’t noice guys!

FY: What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
J: The highlight of my career so far is being part of the stone island ss17 campaign it’s given me major street cred though I was already cool lol.
This fashion week I got to walk for Astrid Anderson which was my first ever show and a huge blessing.

FY: Tell us 3 random facts about yourself.
J: 3 random facts about me. I’m afraid of mice, I’m a big basketball freak and I love chocolate cake.

A: There’s a few other models, I’ll say is in my model gang. For example, the lads from last seasons fashion week in Milan (Dylan Fender, Sherman Bering and Alpha Dia). They all made the Prada show amazing and comfortable for me. They’re an amazing bunch but also the Models1 lads! Although, I didn’t walk with them. I am looking forward to do so.
