G-Star RAW and photographer Ellen von Unwerth have teamed up again for the denim brand’s Autumn/Winter 2015 campaign. This season sees the return of an intimate group of kindred spirits – bonded like brothers in uniforms of distinctive jeans and jackets.
von Unwerth’s raw, monochromatic style appears made to photograph denim, capturing the texture and attitude of the jeans at G-Star’s core. Booted and laced-up, the group embody the zeitgeist of youth, as magnetically united as they are fiercely independent. Playing with repetition in poses, the campaign’s military-like visual devices amplify the atmosphere of unity between the models and pay homage to product inspirations.
