Alexander Wang is ready to launch his first full RTW Spring/Summer 2012 collection for men. The lookbook was shot in Brooklyn earlier this month. Wang says that the collection is inspired by East London youth subcultures. He also names Diplo, Wiz Khalifa and “Johnny Depp in the nineties” as people who have inspired him. The collection features strong trenches, contrast jackets and sweaters with leather patchwork, denim, smart shirting and leather look shorts.
Unlike his previous almost grotesque electronic releases, “Piel” it’s a wonderfully written composition, entirely sang in Spanish revealing to the world a much more intimate and sensitive side of Alejandro Ghersi.
#makelovenotwalls is about tearing down the mental and physical walls that separate us, and let all sides come together in the name of unity and love. Diesel wants to tear down these walls showing that a brighter and exciting tomorrow is possible.
