Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 2024 Campaign
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
Vivienne Westwood, like Prada and Bottega Veneta, is another fashion house that has decided to start the year by unveiling its new advertising campaign.
Shot in a factory in London (UK) by the renowned photographer Juergen Teller, the campaign consists of a series of images starring top model Naomi Campbell. In them, the British can be seen wearing the creations of the Spring/Summer 2024 season designed by its current creative director Andreas Kronthaler.
But Naomi is not alone, she is accompanied by four other people, who also wear the firm’s total looks. One thing to note about the clothes is that they have been reimagined based on the late Vivienne Westwood’s wardrobe, as Kronthaler said: “At the beginning, we wanted to shoot the campaign as a still life, it seemed the best way to show off Vivienne’s reimagined wardrobe.”
What a nice gesture from Andreas, right? Not every day someone is inspired by a particular person to design a collection, but of course, Vivienne was Vivienne and her legacy will remain with us forever.
