TOMBOGO Drops Spring 2023 Collection
by Adriano Batista
TOMBOGO, the acclaimed label recognized for its functional, eco-friendly, and utility-focused garments, along with its avant-garde design techniques, is gearing up to launch its Spring 2023 collection, “For the Truant & the Fluent”. The brand’s founder, Tommy Bogo, found inspiration in his high school years, where his passion for fashion and design originated. As a creative, Bogo is committed to pushing the boundaries of traditional fashion by reimagining recognizable forms into multifaceted garments. He attributes his high school’s music and art programs for providing him with a platform to express himself creatively and develop an imaginative way of thinking.
“For the Truant & the Fluent” is a slogan Tommy Bogo coined during his teenage years, reflecting his struggles of balancing academics, creative pursuits, and building a brand. Key items from the Spring line include Shock-Cord Button-Up Shirts, Knit “Freelance” Basketball Uniform set, Multi-Pocket Button-Up and Slack set, and a limited range of Denim Convertible Work Jacket and Pant styles featuring the brand’s signature hardware.
The brand’s SP23 collection made its debut during New York Fashion Week with a runway presentation at LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts in Manhattan in September. For the campaign’s lookbook, TOMBOGO collaborated with DRO KENJI, an up-and-coming rapper, artist, and like-minded creative signed to the label Internet Money Records.
