Another American brand, Stüssy, founded in 1979, is taking a lot of the limelight away from what until now has been the queen of collaborations: Supreme. All indications are that some of the hype James Jebbia’s label received is fading. The designers are no longer looking to Supreme for partnerships and are turning to Stüssy, among others.

Following the success of the capsule collection with the member of one of the “Antwerp Six”, Dries Van Noten, interest in the Californian brand has increased. So much so that one of the designers of the moment, British Martine Rose, has decided to team up with it to design a collection together.

Nobody was aware that this could happen. It was totally unexpected, and most people found out about it through the post on Instagram with which both parties have decided to announce the collab, which will probably see the light next April 14th, 2023.

What will Stüssy and Martine Rose have in store? We will soon find out. But from what can be seen in the image that appears in the publication, there will be items that perfectly bring together the hallmarks of both of them. Just take a look at the biker-inspired gloves and the fringed shoulder bag, reminiscent of the designer’s origins.
