Telekom Electronic Beats x 032c x Harry Nuriev: All is Sound. All is Transformation.
by Adriano Batista
Telekom Electronic Beats (TEB) and 032c are turning 25, and they’re celebrating with a capsule collection and an installation by Harry Nuriev. Titled All is Sound. All is Transformation., it runs until July 25th at the 032c Workshop in Berlin.
Nuriev’s installation is built around a silver structure lined with CDs, a nod to the ‘90s, when music was something you held in your hands. The piece feels like a relic from a time when people browsed CD stores, discovering new sounds. There’s a CD player built into it, along with speakers taken from a car. It’s part archive, part club, part sculpture.
Nuriev says he’s drawn to “organized chaos.” By piling up and rearranging objects, he makes the space between them matter as much as the objects themselves.
The installation is just one piece of the collaboration. At Paris Fashion Week, 032c Creative Director Maria Koch unveiled a limited collection with the same name. Inspired by No Good (Start the Dance)(The Prodigy’s 1994 rave anthem), the designs echo the song’s energy. The video shows a man smashing through a wall with a hammer, a symbol of breaking free. That same idea of transformation runs through Nuriev’s work.
Koch, a self-described rave kid, says the song has stayed with her. The collection includes hand-painted caps, bags, and T-shirts in black and white, with details that reference vinyl and analog culture. Adjustable straps and Velcro patches make the pieces adaptable, just like music itself.
Visitors can bring their own CDs to play, turning the space into something shared and alive.
