SVD and LE COQ SPORTIF reinvent a classic with the Energy Rooster
by Adriano Batista

In 1991, Dynactif technology revolutionized the world of running, achieving a cushioning never seen before based on the transfer of energy, which was absorbed from the heel to the forefoot. In celebration of the 3 decades of the LCS R1000 sneaker with which Le Coq Sportif propelled its innovative technology, the French brand collaborates with SVD to reinterpret the model.
What were they looking for? Give it a good invigorating boost. How did they do it? Injecting the shoe with a rich and vibrant color scheme with retro tints inspired by the colors of Gaul’s most famous energy drink.

The LCS R1000 was the model chosen for being the ideal one to mix with the colors of traditional French comics (gray base, with touches of warm red, electric yellow, green and black) and with a mix of premium materials: vintage sole, grained leather, suede, nubuck leather, and mesh. But it doesn’t stop there: knowing that any good athlete needs their energy potion, each pair of sneakers comes with a canteen. All of this culminates in the reimagining of Le Coq’s mythical rooster logo, fusing it with the electric symbol.

This high-end edition co-created in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Dynactif and also taking advantage of the SVD 10th-anniversary celebration, is available on the SVD website and stores.
