The poem A Gift by award-winning Andrew McMillan, full of images from everyday moments of physical and emotional exchange, becomes the starting point for the six Greek and international artists participating in the exhibition: Alfred Agostinelli, beraber co., Alexandre Furcolin, Ian Lewandowski, Robin Plus, and Studio Prokopiou.

Their works address issues of identity, memory, and desire in familiar but also unexpected ways while underlining the importance of social empowerment, communication, and acceptance. Each artist approaches the longing for love and passion from their unique perspective, affirming that the sense of belonging and understanding are universal and timeless needs we all share.

The exhibition SUMMER BOUQUET, part of the satellite program of the Athens Photo Festival 2022, is accompanied by electronic music by Boys’ Shorts (Tareq and Vangelis). In addition, the themes of this artistic research are further explored in the new issue of K-Gold Temporary Gallery’s journal THE WILD ONES, which approaches quests and experiments in queer photography through interviews of Christos Mouchas with the participating artists.
