Soshi Otsuki, the designer behind the Japanese brand SOSHIOTSUKI, will be the Guest Designer at the next Pitti Immagine Uomo in Florence. He will present his distinctive style through a special fashion show-event.

Otsuki, who also won the 2025 LVMH Prize, has created an outfit for the new Pitti Uomo campaign, which is dedicated to the theme of “Motion.”

His work conveys an ambitious clarity. It is rooted in a dialogue with a millennia-old tradition, yet it carries a modern sartorial awareness. These two worlds (the ancient and the contemporary) coexist and intertwine in his designs.

His concept can be described as “Made in Japan” seen through the lens of “Made in Italy.” It references a specific moment in Japanese culture: the economic bubble years of the mid-1980s, when men in Tokyo dressed in Italian designers like Armani. However, Otsuki’s language is not nostalgic. It is contemporary and anti-nostalgic, recoded for the present day with a subtle but effective commercial sense.
