Sons of Man Unveils a Maximalist Odyssey for Spring 2025
by Fucking Young!
Sons of Man unveiled its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, “a bold exploration of futurism through the lens of avant-garde streetwear.” Building upon the brand’s reputation for creativity and innovative silhouettes, this new offering delves deeper into Sons of Man’s signature aesthetic.
The Spring 2025 collection embraces maximalism, futurism, deconstruction, and theatrical flair. While the Fall/Winter 2023 debut showcased a restrained and contrasting approach, this new collection takes the brand’s philosophy to new heights.
The focus shifts to exaggerated silhouettes, voluminous forms, and a meticulous exploration of texture. Through intricate body pleating, tucking techniques, and strategic cutouts, Sons of Man transforms traditional menswear into dynamic and visually striking expressions.
The collection’s outerwear is a standout, with overcoats accented by intricate tucking and gathers creating a sense of drama and depth. The use of cutouts in the fabric echoes the motif of duck hunting camo, adding a playful element to the designs.
The shirts are equally impressive, featuring extensive gathering and tucking techniques that create voluminous shapes and intricate creases. The interplay of textures and volumes is a hallmark of Sons of Man’s aesthetic, resulting in pieces that are both visually captivating and comfortable to wear.
