Madrid is preparing to welcome one of the most powerful emerging voices on the indie scene: Sombr, the young New York artist who has turned his raw sensitivity and generational vision into a global phenomenon. At just 20 years old, Sombr (Shane Michael Boose) will take to the stage at the Palacio Vistalegre on 24 February 2026 as part of his The Late Nights & Young Romance Tour.
Originally from the Lower East Side, Sombr began writing and producing from his bedroom during the pandemic, a humble origin that is still evident in the sincerity of his music. Following his first single in 2021, it was ‘Caroline’, recorded and released independently at the age of just 16, that catapulted him to fame. His EP In Another Life (2023) and his debut album I Barely Know Her (2025) have shown a surprising emotional maturity for his youth, with lyrics that portray insecurities, teenage romances and loss.
Songs such as ‘Back to Friends’ and “Undressed” have become viral anthems that have made it onto global charts, and his video for ‘Back to Friends’ earned him an award at the MTV Video Music Awards.
On stage, Sombr blends an intimate presence with moments of electric explosion. With soft lighting, enveloping guitars and an intense emotional connection, his live performances invite the audience to let themselves go, to sing and to feel without barriers.
They will be more than songs: they will be shared confessions. Madrid is ready to welcome an artist at the height of his career. So is Sombr. The night of 24 February promises to be a unique experience, a moment to listen, vibrate and be moved by one of the most promising talents on the global indie scene.
