Wes Anderson’s films are known for their precise, nostalgic aesthetic and carefully considered details. Now he has applied that same approach to designing a pen for Montblanc. The Schreiberling, meaning “scribbler,” is a limited-edition writing instrument inspired by Montblanc’s historical “Baby” models from the early 20th century, which were among the smallest pens the company ever produced.

Anderson previously collaborated with Montblanc on 100 Years of Meisterstück, a short film celebrating the brand’s signature pen. That project subtly previewed the Schreiberling, which now emerges as a compact, playful interpretation of vintage design.

Finished in green and yellow lacquer with platinum accents, the pen features a coral-colored cap echoing Montblanc’s early styles. The edition is limited to 1,969 pieces, referencing Anderson’s birth year. The set arrives in a green metal case lined with coral, reminiscent of props in Anderson’s films, and includes a notebook, ruler, and green ink cartridges.
