Sandro Romans presented his Spring/Summer 2014 collection during New York Fashion Week. Drawing inspiration from Bushwick, Brooklyn, where Romans resides, “Bushwick Flow” depicts more than the designers’ aesthetic; the collection encompasses a way of life privy to the borough.
Opting for a simple palate of black and white, offset with bubblegum blue, Romans allowed sheer fabrications, innovative silhouettes and prints to be prominent. The subtly masked cannabis print featured on multiple garments was derived from the invigorating aroma that lingers in the evening air on Romans’ nightly treks home. Boasting relaxed fit shorts, jumpers, separates and even midriffs, Sandro Romans spring 2014 collection reflects attributes of Bushwick’s urbanity – the sights, sounds and culture.
