Reset Your Skincare This Winter with Colekt

While winters can be harsh, it’s also a great time to allow your skin to heal. Some of us flare up like a mood teenager and others manage to lose their glow. This is the best time to figure out your skin’s neutral state that is balanced by resetting and restoring. Instead of piling on the products, it’s about minimalist skincare. I started the season by going back to basics with the luxury clean beauty brand Colekt which has been making its name in blurring the lines between art, self-care, and self-expression.

Colekt first came on our radar with their niche fragrances, candles, and soaps back in 2021, now they have set about creating a clean, green, vegan range that includes skincare and body care for all genders and skin types along with a sustainable approach of slow sourcing and signature ingredients from the Nordic flora. The range is founded with the intention of building an art collection. Central to their interpretation of beauty is the notion of curated wellness. You can play, mix, blend, or overlay the range to create your own interpretation of beauty.

I wanted to focus on barrier repair and hydration and put a pause on harsh exfoliants and acids which I have switched out at the moment to see if it makes a difference in healing. Speaking with Ellen af Petersens, founder and creative director of Colekt, she advised me “Don’t chase quick solutions running from one product to another. Choose a brand with eternal qualities, create an easy daily routine and sleep well, eat well, and get some minutes of exercise every day. It might take you some time to change your behavior, but this is the recipe for looking radiant and feeling happy.”

The combination is rather unique and is all about the idea of wanting to do good and look good.”
