PUMA Mostro OG Drops Three Fresh Looks
by Adriano Batista
PUMA is bringing back the Mostro with a fresh set of colors, continuing the shoe’s comeback after 25 years. First reintroduced last year, the Mostro is set to make waves again in 2025. This time, the Y2K-inspired design gets a colorful update with red, green, and blue options. The shoes feature a fine mesh upper, black accents, and white logos on the Formstrip and heel. Staying true to its original design, the Mostro keeps its sculptural shape, low profile, and unique spiked sole, offering a modern take on a classic.
The PUMA Mostro has been a standout since its debut in 1999, appealing to those who like to stand out. Its name, meaning “monster” in Italian, reflects its bold, hybrid style. The design draws inspiration from two very different worlds: the sleek sprinting spikes of the 1960s and the surfing shoes of the 1980s. Even today, the Mostro’s distinctive look, low-profile shape, and spiked sole continue to turn heads.

The new Mostro OG colorways will be available starting March 1, 2025, on PUMA.com, at PUMA flagship stores, and select retailers.
