PUMA and JJJJound have done it again. Their latest collaboration takes the spiked silhouette of the 1999 PUMA Mostro and strips it down to its essentials. The result? A masterclass in minimalism.

This isn’t about flashy logos or over-the-top design. Instead, JJJJound focuses on quiet details. The shoe’s upper is crafted from premium nubuck, lined with buttery leather, and finished with subtle stitching on PUMA’s signature Formstrip. Gone is the original’s strap closure, replaced by clean lacing that matches the soft yellow interior.

Two colorways (Brown and Navy Blue) keep things understated, letting the materials speak for themselves. Even JJJJound’s branding is discreet, stamped only on the sole insert. For those lucky enough to be on the friends-and-family list, there’s an exclusive version that stays truer to the ’99 design, complete with the strap and a two-tone finish.
