The Prada Winter 2025 collection returns to the brand’s core principles: contrast and contradiction. The collection mixes masculine and feminine, casual and formal, day and evening. Sportswear, workwear, and eveningwear are combined in new ways, asking us to reconsider the purpose we assign to different clothes.

The workmanship is unmistakably Prada. Since the 1990s, the brand has integrated high-performance sportswear into daily life. This continues, with technical fabrics paired against precious silks and cashmere. A sweatshirt is elevated with a shearling collar; a simple silk slip skirt creates contrast. For men, a suit in kid mohair or tweed might be worn with technical, body-hugging trousers.

There is also a shift in function. A velvet evening dress is shortened into a top to wear with jeans. A shirt is lengthened into a dress. Cashmere sweaters are embroidered with crystals that look like jewelry. This approach challenges the conventions of dress, creating new possibilities for how clothes are worn.

This sense of transformation is visible in the materials. Knitwear is lined to change its volume. The strictness of a uniform is interrupted by silk taffeta. Archetypal accessories complete the looks: low-heeled pumps, Oxford lace-ups, and bags like the new Prada Explore. An archival logo, first used by the Prada brothers in the early 20th century, acts as the new emblem for the season.
