New Heights: The Bold and Daring Menswear Collection of Christian Louboutin for 2023
by Adriano Batista
Prepare to make a statement with the 2023 Christian Louboutin menswear collection. This season, the Maison is taking men’s fashion to new heights with their AIGLE line – a bold collection of boots and loafers that will add a touch of rock and roll to any wardrobe. And what could be more daring than a gentleman donning a pair of heels?
The AIGLISSIMA boot is the epitome of unapologetic rock and roll, featuring an 8cm stacked Cuban heel, a sleek pointed toe, and an extravagant black strass finish in its most couture iteration. The AIGLON and AIGUILOU loafers boast sharp geometric lines and a CL emblazoned heel, while the flamboyant ROSALIO boot takes inspiration from Flamenco and is available in both high and low-cut versions in a variety of colors and materials.
In addition to the AIGLE line, the DUNE capsule returns with two new silhouettes and colors, retaining its signature graphic oversized lug sole. The PANAMIC lace-up derby and PANAROOT boot reinterpret formal menswear silhouettes with an urban twist, crafted from water-resistant canvas for a lightweight look and feel. The OUR SAND AND GLORY knee-high boot, inspired by the women’s Fall/Winter 2022 version, is a new addition to the lug sole category.
The leather goods family welcomes two new travel companions: the LOUBIDEAL backpack and belt bag. Constructed from ultra-lightweight and super-resistant nylon with Loubi red rubber accents, these pieces take inspiration from the world of hiking and camping and feature adjustable straps, zipped pockets, and a new quilted, mesh-reinforced back for practical utilitarian chic.
Available online and in stores worldwide from May, the Fall/Winter 2023 collection is an innovative and exciting addition to Christian Louboutin’s evolving menswear offering. Get ready to turn heads and make a statement with these bold and daring designs. Keep an eye out, the fashion world won’t know what hit it.
