Imbued with the rebellious spirit of black punk culture, Nao Serati‘s FW23 collection delves deep into the black male experience. Through the use of fabrics that resemble the texture and sinew of human skin, and the intricate muscular structure of the male form, the designer aims to dismantle the notion of punk as a hard-edged construct. Instead, he deftly employs hard and soft leather to explore the ways in which societal disdain can both build and break down the male body.

The campaign was spearheaded by Nao Serati, who brought his inspired vision to life. The stunning styling was executed by Peter Geordiades, while the transformative hair and makeup artistry was the work of Justine Alexander. Models Didi and Keletso, represented by Fanjam Management and Boss Models respectively, brought the collection to life, striking poses in front of the lens of the talented photographer, Zander Opperman.
