Krokus, a flower from the Iris family, finds its natural home in the mountains of Kurdistan. In Sweden, it thrives best in the area in which I am from in the southwest of the country, around Halmstad. The short film Krokus is based on ideas of rituals, adolescence, innocence, and nature – as in Nature as we know it but also as the designer’s Kurdish/Swedish nature. These are the central themes of the Namacheko‘s Spring/Summer 2021 collection, also titled Krokus.

I use this novel form of fashion week to reflect on the deeper meanings of the collection in dialogue with the current state of the world and the shifts that are occurring.

The Spring/Summer 2021 Krokus collection will be presented in Tokyo for buyers and press at the end of July.
