MM6, the contemporary line of Maison Margiela, presents its Avant premiere FW24 collection, inspired by the idea of a silhouette that shifts between urban cool and couture refinement. The collection explores the concept of limbo, where elegance meets wit, and clothes are ready when worn, adapting to the personality of the wearer.

The collection draws from the artistic legacy of Man Ray, the surrealist photographer and painter who captured the bohemian elegance of his time. The collection evokes the characters who live in an uncanny parallel world, with unexpected textures, raw finishes and white paint as a signature element. It plays with the familiar and the obscure, mixing minimalism and maximalism, vintage and modern, masculine and feminine.

The collection also marks the launch of the first ready-to-wear collaboration with Salomon, the outdoor sports brand. The capsule consists of minimalist classics, such as a five-zip mackintosh, a five-pocket jean, a shell jacket, a classic men’s shirt, a compression top, leggings, arm warmers and a bodysuit. All the pieces are made from bonded Gore-Tex, bringing a high level of functionality and performance to the cityscape. The capsule also includes a Water Bottle bag, a Trailblazer Pocket Backpack and a cap.
