Mugler has named Miguel Castro Freitas as its new Creative Director. With a strong background in fashion design, Freitas brings experience from some of the industry’s biggest names. He has worked at Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, and Dries Van Noten, specializing in tailoring and womenswear. His journey began at Central Saint Martins, where he graduated in 2004.

Freitas expressed his excitement about joining Mugler, calling it an honor to contribute to the brand’s legacy. He praised the late Thierry Mugler as a visionary and looks forward to adding his own perspective to the house. His first collection for Mugler will debut in Spring/Summer 2026 during Paris Fashion Week.
