MARINE SERRE Spring/Summer 2024
by Adriano Batista
MARINE SERRE‘s latest collection unveils an electrifying mixtape of seasonal sensations, rare treasures, and timeless classics. Close your eyes, let the beat take over, and immerse yourself in the symphony.
This season’s spectacle invites us to return to the essence: a primal and physical manifestation of love. The show sets the stage with the enchanting melodies of Debussy’s ‘Clair de Lune,’ a nocturnal ode to life’s vibrant pulse, perfectly aligned with Marine Serre’s iconic moon crescent logo. This audacious twist on a classical masterpiece becomes the cornerstone for a 15-minute reinterpretation—an exhilarating voyage through the annals of electronic dance music. As music producer Pierre Rousseau aptly puts it, “It’s a process of radicality, regeneration, and hybridization dear to MARINE SERRE, adapted to music.” A sumptuous track that captures the celestial bliss of a flawless summer day, igniting an irresistible urge to dance. It’s the kind of melody that elevates your spirits to cosmic heights and back. The curated collection celebrates a plethora of techniques, fabrics, and silhouettes, with half of them reborn from upcycled or forgotten materials—a fascinating exhibition of passion’s diverse expressions.
