LỰU ĐẠN, the personal oeuvre of Hung La also behind Kwaidan Editions, hosted its Seedy Chinatown Hideout during Paris Fashion Week at the iconic ChinaTown Belleville that saw guests belt out old school classics, faces lit by flickering lyrics on-screen and red lights. In another room, tensions were high as guests played mahjong in a tournament-style format which saw Susie Lau take home the coveted grand prize of the brand’s signature Hell-fire L-D Jacket.

LỰU ĐẠN, which means “Dangerous Man” in Vietnamese, is a collaboratively realized dream rooted in the shared experiences of Asian males, free of one-dimensional cliches and expectations. The LỰU ĐẠN man embraces his origins and finds pride in his identity defiantly and provocatively, bringing new depth and prominence to Asian masculinity. This season, La followed the story of a disaffected drifter, a self-proclaimed loner who is both liberated and imprisoned by his obsession with Asian gore films and the chaos in his mind.

For the night, guests were decked out in looks from the brand’s past collections with a spotlight on its SS25 offering titled “MAYHEM,” becoming the very characters that La is inspired by and in turn, creates. Photographer Piotr Niepsuj captured the evening of mayhem! And mahjong!
