Spanish artist Nicasio Torres has unveiled his very firtst clothing collection, Vera Icon, a unique blend of vintage fashion and artistic expression. The capsule collection features hand-painted garments adorned with Torres’s iconic watercolor faces.

The name “Vera Icon” draws inspiration from the famous cloth of Saint Veronica, a symbol of the imprint of the sacred face. Nicasio uses this metaphor to suggest that within every individual, there exists a trace of the divine, a unique and beautiful image that can be revealed in countless ways. By breathing new life into forgotten garments, Torres highlights the hidden potential within each piece, transforming them into works of art.

Each garment in the Vera Icon collection has been personally selected and painted by Nicasio Torres himself. By finding a distinct face within each piece, the artist has given these vintage items a second chance to shine. The collection also includes a limited edition of sweatshirts and screen-printed t-shirts, expanding the reach of Torres’s artistic vision.

The Vera Icon collection will be showcased to the public on October 3rd at Manifesto, from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This event will offer art enthusiasts and fashion lovers the opportunity to experience Torres’s latest work firsthand.

The collection’s photography is by Carlos Pareja, with Yoa Albi as the model and styling by Carolina Perdomo. Check it out below:
