Lui Iarocheski unveiled his Fall/Winter 2017 collection during Casa de Criadores Fashion Week. Titled “Chromophobia“, the collection aims to explore new expressions in menswear through the experimentation with brutalism – seen as a reaction by a younger generation to the lightness, ignorance, and radicalism of today’s society.

The collection abstracts current social issues: homophobia, xenophobia, and others radicalisms in order to explore the interaction between the wearer’s identity and the garment. The result is an expressive austere collection using high quality fabrics with embroidered patches that serves as a new take on “homopunk” clothing as well as an investigation of wearing and social identity.
